About the Menu

The Food

You'll find a diversity of influences and flavours to explore at Burma Lane. The food is modern Australian with a distinct Asian flair, designed around light bites moving to the more substantial. The delicious dishes are perfect for sharing a quick bite or a lingering meal with friends and the menu changes regularly, celebrating local seasonal produce.

The cuisine is eclectic, based on modern European flavours, influenced by all the things we love about Asia. This Australian-Asian combination provides endless inspiration, ensuring we will never run out of new tastes and novel creations to deliver to our guests.

The dining experience is casual, hip and urban with flexibility that allows for a quick drop in bite and a cocktail at the bar, or a more leisurely meal with a beautiful bottle of wine where you can truly take advantage of all of the wonderful worldly sites and artistic discoveries the venue has to offer.

Burma Lane's menu is inspired by the collision of flavours between local Melbourne and South East Asian cuisine. Chinese, Burmese, Vietnamese, Indian and Thai influences can all be found, combined with the more local flavours of Melbourne and Australia. Colonisation, trade routes and a myriad of ethnic groups have created a wonderful melting pot that makes the most of the unique ingredients and incredible range of flavours from our diverse region.

The seasonally changing menu is mostly designed for sharing – which is fortunate as the variety of influences and delectable choices can make it difficult to decide on one dish alone!

The Drink

Burma Lane's bar area is perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a quick stop on the way to your next destination. Select a glass of something delicious from the ever changing award winning wine list, try a tasty cocktail, local craft beer or ask the sommelier to decide for you.
